a nice thing about 'till death do us part' relationships would be the pictures, the couple gets to keep them for posterity.

no one leaves photographs behind and no one gets dumped with them. no one imposes their memories on another person. no one gets to discard their connection to their past. nobody throws away memories. no one goes numb.
