last month i thought of...
fish
...it's amazing how they know what school they belong to, who to mate with, and how they know what kind they are.
janitor fish
...giant ones that sucked other species off the marikina river and dredged up the soil in its banks. exactly what i nauseously imagined last christmas while i watched our godlfish being sucked to death by a finger sized janitor that attached itself to the goldfish-head with its filthy suckerlips.
pine needles
...a nun in habit pointed out to me that they always come in bunches of three, i picked some from the ground of the pine tree hill we were on and marveled at that truth scattered around my feet.
jesus, jose rizal, jimi hendrix, janis joplin and jim morrison
...i am now older than any of them had been.
quick summer cooler
...juice 1 lemon, grate one medium sized carrot and then one apple. combine all three, chill and enjoy.
gatorade bottles
...that i would fill up with five peso coins.
ray charles
...i remember an acquaintance from late 80s concerts who told me then that his girlfriend broke off with him because he only had money for one ticket for the back to back concert of ray charles and b.b. king at the ccp and still went ahead to buy the ticket and watched it without her.
women's day
...and the post about women that i couldn't even begin to write.
the big bang
...if everything in the universe came from the same primal matter and we are all stardust, this might explain why we love the people we love and are friends with, because some of us must have come from the same chunk of that star and somehow found ourselves together again. it's how fish know.
